Microwave Techniques manufactures ultra-high vacuum pump-out ports with waveguide compatibility for the UHV and vacuum environments. These UHV pump-out ports are available with various flange types, including: LIL, DESY, RIKEN, and more. We custom tailor each UHV product to provide the best electrical performance in the UHV environment. All of Microwave Techniques RF components are manufactured to exact specifications.
UHV Overview: Pump-Out Ports
Microwave Techniques produces various types of ultra-high vacuum (UHV) components, with custom innovations that provide the high electrical performance in UHV settings down to 1 x 10-12 Torr. Each device uses vacuum rated materials, such as: OFHC copper, non-magnetic stainless steel (304, 316L and 316LN), as well as ceramics, such as alumina, sapphire and quartz. Our manufacturing process uses advanced vacuum brazing techniques with specialized UHV equipment and technology. All UHV products are cleaned, assembled, and tested in our clean room facility.
Microwave Techniques tests and verifies many vacuum properties such as vacuum He leak rates down to 1.0 x 10-9 Torr l/s, and internal outgassing levels to 1.0 x 10-12 Torr l/s cm2. We deliver ultra-high vacuum pump-out ports and clean UHV components that allow for easy integration into your ultra-high vacuum environment and systems.
Microwave Techniques also performs bake-out procedures as well as offers unique vacuum packaging protocols. These sophisticated processes and high-level attention to detail ensures the components stay in a vacuum-ready state.
The standard UHV level testing is:
1.0 x 10-6 Torr l/s for larger aluminum (WR650) parts or anything with elastomer seals.
1.0 x 10-9 Torr l/s for UHV (Standard).
Note: 1 Torr = 1.33mBar
